Imma be real, I made some of these questions up cuz I knew they'd be asked. The other ones are real. This is your sphinx's riddle.

Do I need to be a fujoshi to join Fujofans?

You do not need to identify as the term "fujoshi".

You can be a fudanshi, fujin, fujo ally, hime, yume, or whatever you please. You can be a boy, girl, gay, straight, trans, sis...you don't even need to be Asian! As long as you are a fan of gay art and mashing Barbie dolls together to tell a story, please feel free to join.

Please make a website! It's free and fun.

I suggest using Neocities as a host if you are a beginner. I don't use neocities myself, if you are viewing FujoFans on Neocities that means you are viewing my automated mirror. I have some resources on building a site on my documentation page. And you can start with a template, like I did for this site. This template is by foollover, who has very cute and easy to edit site templates.

Is this site hosted on Neocities? Do I need a Neocities site to join?

No, to both questions. The main fork of my site is hosted on Vercel, on my own scumsuck.com domain. All my updates are pushed to my main site first. Then I update the tumblr blog for the RSS change log, which is automatically mirrored to my site.

I have a Neocities mirror for archival and visibility purposes, but I do not manually update or check it. I use the "deploy to Neocities" action so I just have to update my main site.

You can use any site host you want to join this web listing! Neocities is just the most popular amongst hobbyists because it's free and allows most adult art. Here's a list I made of some hosts, and whether they allow adult art. Here's another list of even more site hosts that I haven't tried myself, but not whether they allow adult art.

How finished does my site have to be to submit?

You just need one page: a landing page that tells us a little about yourself. You don't even need to have fancy styling! A blank white background with plain black text is good for readability!

As long as you have your name on your site, and a couple words about yourself or some links, it's good to go! And you can always update your site whenever you want.

What kind of website can I submit?

Any website is fine! It can be a personal site, a blog, a shrine for ships or characters, your own art and writing, your webcomic, your store, or so on. I'm chill with most adult art, kinks, and RPF.

Your site does not have to be themed around yaoi/yuri/etc, as long as you (the admin!) feel the fujo love in your heart.

Are there any restrictions to websites?

My main restriction is no NSFW content about real people under the age of 18. This includes underage RPF. I do not want to deal with anything concerning real life attraction to children, animals, or other beings that cannot consent. I also do not want to see any real life gore or death.

I do not accept social media sites like instagram, tumblr, and twitter. This is because social media is always at risk of blowing up and being deleted at the company's whim. See tumblr's NSFW ban, or twitter's musky meltdown. You also can't put your cool Fujofans badge on your profile on most social media!

Otherwise, no spam, malware, or hate speech against real people. I reserve the right to reject or remove any site for any reason.

Is there an age restriction to submit sites?

You should be over 18 to submit your site.

What if I haven't been added in the next update??

99% of the time your site hasn't been added is because you filled something out wrong, or I missed you because I have ADHD. You could try filling the form out again. Make sure the URL you submit is correct and doesn't just go to your neocities dashboard! Make sure the email you entered is correct so I can message you if you are missing something on your form!

The other 1% of the time I haven't added sites, is cuz your submission goes against one or more of the restrictions I've outlined. Oopsie daisy!

I can't answer emails about why your site hasn't been added.

I don't like someone or something on the weblisting, can you remove them?

Oh no! I will not remove websites from the web listing unless the owners email me themselves, or they violate the guidelines.

Can you remove my site from the web listing?

One of the sites is down, or leads to NSFW content about real kids, spam, malware, or hate speech against real people. Can you remove it?

Will you make a discord or other community?

No. I cannot moderate a community. This space is meant as a stand-alone resource, so you can find community with individuals! Please look at their websites, and contact them one-on-one if you want to find other Fujofans.

Is this a webring or fanlisting? What's the difference?

This is a fanlisting, or site directory. This is not a webring. Webrings use scripts that require members to link to the main site and/or members for the shared navigation bar to work properly.

I don't want to bother with making sure everyone is properly linked. I always see broken webrings on people's sites. So I just made a simple listing. You can make your own webring/listing too!

I am not listed on that one big fanlistings website cuz I don't want to follow a bunch of rules like "update every 2 months" or "ask for people's location". Decentralization, people!!!
